July 2017 - Tradition is Always in Style

A conversation with Irene Valenti, president of Valenti International

alenti International, longtime Rancho Santa Fe entrepreneurs, philanthropists and equestrians, offers both elite matchmaking in the European tradition, and an equine oasis offering boarding and training services for dressage and hunter jumper aficionados.

Valenti International has been in business for 27 years. What is the secret to your success?
I love what I do and every day is a beautiful new opportunity to fill someone’s heart with joy. In 27 years, I’ve learned a great deal about forming lasting relationships, and to never give up because anything is possible. I have always been grounded to the strong values and traditions with which I was raised. We have crafted a winning formula that starts with providing first-class service and the very highest level of personal attention. Our team provides this service across Valenti International, the Valenti Equestrian Club and the Valenti Foundation.

Valentines For the Love of Horses Fundraiser took place at the Valenti Estate.

We understand you are partnering with the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.
This year, we are embarking on a brand refresh, which is an exciting time. Valenti International was named title sponsor of the Del Mar Thoroughbred’s Opening Day and the Breeders’ Cup Barn at the Beach, Oct. 28 - Nov. 4, 2017. Valenti International signature touches, including branding elegance and charm, will be incorporated into both of the year’s largest, most fashionable and fabulous equestrian events. We, along with many of our wonderful clients, are long-time equestrians, so partnering with the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club is a perfect match.

Speaking of horses, your Equestrian Club is a very special place.
Thank you. We believe that personal service and tradition never go out of style – and our five-star service applies to the Valenti Equestrian Club as well. I grew up on a farm and wanted to bring the same harmonious nature, peaceful and welcoming feelings to our riding club. I admire the love and dedication that the horse owners and their families demonstrate. I often experience the joy and tears that go along with caring for their animals.

Where is the Valenti Equestrian Club located?
Our facility is located five miles from the Del Mar Race Track, encompassing over 20 acres in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe. We offer a unique, exclusive boarding and training opportunity and world-class, professional trainers. Our beautiful grounds include a competition-legal dressage court with mirrors, galloping track, one of California’s largest hunter/jumper arenas and warm-up track, round pen, private lakeside trail within the property boundaries, gated entry, security cameras and on-site staffing 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

What can you share about your winning matchmaking formula?
I believe the more you have to offer, the harder it is to find that special relationship. Valenti International is the only company of its kind that consistently attracts and produces results for a select worldwide, quality clientele. We work with educated, cultured, successful men and women who have so much to offer, but haven’t found that special someone. We help them feel comfortable and secure, knowing that we truly have their best interests at heart.
Our clients become like family to us. It is our heartfelt and intimate knowledge, including their family values, culture, faith and romantic compatibility that have resulted in countless lifelong partnerships. Our clients trust us. I am very proud that almost 100 percent of our business is through current clients, family and friends.

You are very committed to charitable outreach programs. What can you tell us about the Valenti Foundation?
We established the Valenti Foundation to transform the lives of those most vulnerable, and to give back to the community who embraced me so warmly 27 years ago. We have worked with so many wonderful organizations including: Mainly Mozart, Kids Korp, Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Foundation, Taste of Rancho Santa Fe, Ronald McDonald House, Rady’s Children Hospital, Valentino Retirement Fundraising benefiting the Father Joe Village, Orchestra Nova, Friends of San Pasqual Academy, Falcon Ridge Equine Rescue, Father Joe’s Village, Rosarito Blanket Drive, Rotary International, Food Drives, Country Friends and many more.
I would like to extend a tremendous thank you to all of our friends, families, dear clients and those who have supported us. I have always relied on my strong intuition in business, personal connections and philanthropy. With the support and generosity of many of our clients who share this same passion, we are very proud to give back. We have helped children, families and the animal very close to my heart – horses.
