December 2015 - Fashion, Friends & Fun

Beautiful clothes and good times on display at Dressage Extensions fashion show.

Dressage Extensions’ first fashion show was a huge hit. Held Saturday, Nov. 7 at its Moorpark retail and warehouse location, the event brought together local dressage professionals, amateurs, kids and even a dog (Levi) and a pig (Chloe).

Amy Ebeling was the brave and beautiful first model. She’s outfitted in the Helen Lagenhagenburg Collection by Equline, a Uvex helmet and Petrie Anky boots.

Hilda Gurney delighted fans while showing off her Pikeur shadbelly and touting its interchangeable points.

Retail manager Andreena Flores did a terrific job of pairing the rider/models in beautiful outfits ranging from exquisite show attire to cozy schooling wear for cold mornings.

All the riders did a great job modeling and seemed to be having a lot of fun, especially 1976 Olympian bronze medalist Hilda Gurney. She was held at the curtain for a while as just a fraction of her accomplishments were read, but when she was free to go she strutted her stuff and playfully pointed out the many attributes of her beautiful Pikeur shadbelly.

Dressage enthusiast, supporter and rider Ann Romney was on hand to sign copies of her new book, In This Together, and her cookbook, The Romney Family Table. Gracious and down to earth while mingling with fans, Ann told us she’s been a little too busy to ride much herself lately.  But her longtime support of Jan Ebeling’s international efforts continues: their star FHR Rassolini, winner of April’s World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle in Del Mar, graces the cover of Dressage Extension’s current catalog.

A raffle to raise funds for Dressage Association of Southern California educational events gave attendees a crack at excellent prizes and there were big discounts and cool product demos throughout the day.

Kudos to Dressage Extensions general manager Jill Waterman and her team. It was a terrific event!
