During Gold Coast Labor Day (Sept. 1-3), Langer Equestrian Group is encouraging the horse community to give support to the many victims of the Texas floods. LEG’s charity partner, Operation Gratitude is putting together care packages to help both the victims and the first responders.

“We will have donation boxes at the horse show office,” says LEG’s Managing Director Marnye Langer. “Horse people are among the most compassionate people and really pull together in times of crisis. So many people and animals are suffering in this tragedy. Any little bit we can do will help alleviate some of the suffering.” People can also make donations by writing a check to Operation Gratitude, or adding a donation to their entry and LEG will make the donation for them.

Items that are desperately needed include:

  • Hand & foot warmers
  • Socks of any size and type
  • Towels and blankets
  • Children’s clothing
  • Diapers and wipes
  • Snack bars (Breakfast and protein)
  • Jerky
  • Pet food

Thank you to everyone for supporting this endeavor and letting our fellow citizens in Texas that we care about them and want to offer some help.
