USHJA Gold Star Clinic - Being willing to “work hard and get dirty” was one of USHJA Gold Star clinician Richard Spooner’s urgings to young riders on the organization’s Emerging Jumper Athlete Pathway. He said that in the arena, but it applied everywhere. Here, Kaitlyn Lovingfoss learns to remove a shoe during a barn session with top farrier Bill Liggett. The clinic took place Jan. 18-21 during week one of HITS Coachella.

USHJA Gold Star Clinic - USHJA Emerging Jumper Rider Task Force members Larry & Marnye Langer and Diane Carney see their vision materialize successfully. Kathy Meyer, second from left, is with EqSports Net, an event sponsor that videod the event. Applications for the qualifying process for next year’s clinic are now open: visit www.ushja.org/Emerging Jumpers.
