Congratulations All Around!

Drake Wilder Stutes was born to Frankie Thieriot Stutes and Michael Stutes on Oct. 6. Frankie is chief of Athletux athlete marketing organization, an accomplished eventing rider and frequent host of Ride-On Video’s delightful event reports.

Luciana Mac Ighani, born September 20 to Daniel and Susan Ighani of Ighani Sporthorses, a jumping and dressage training program in Napa. It was a busy day for the extended Ighani family. Their student Ransome Rombauer won the USET Show Jumping Talent Search Finals in Southern California that very afternoon and dressage client Eric Di Benedetto was busy winning the US Dressage Federation First Level Amateur Championships for Region 7 in Sacramento.

“Definitely a weekend to remember!” reports a sleepy but very happy Susan.


Mary Kehoe On The Move

After several years based at Peacock Hill Equestrian Center in Orange, dressage trainer and USDF gold medalist Mary Kehoe is moving to the Phoenix area. She is open to returning to Southern California for one to two-day clinics and is already planning to return to work with clients in the Orange County area on a monthly basis.

Susan Jacklyn Lombardi

Susan Jacklyn Lombardi passed away on Oct. 15 after battling cancer. She was a very active member of the Northern California dressage scene as a rider and volunteer. Susan served several positions on the San Francisco Peninsula Chapter of the California Dressage Society, was a recording secretary for the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, a competitor and host to many visiting dressage luminaries. She will be much missed by her many friends in the sport.

A celebration of Susan’s life was held on Oct. 23. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation at www.christopherreeve.org.
