Surprise Wedding for Donna Chopp & Joe Parker

Equine Insurance partners Donna Chopp and Joe Parker tied the knot at a quickly organized wedding Saturday, Aug. 2, right after the Giant Steps Charity Horse Show Gucci Gala at the Sonoma Horse Park. The ubiquitous equestrian pair has been engaged for two years.

Even without knowing the property's name, Rancho El Encanto poses an enchanting sight when glimpsed from a car window cruising by on a winding, wooded road in the Monterey area. In the paddock visible from the road, buckskin, gray, bay and black young horses frolic in the shade of spreading oaks and pines.

Richard Spooner rode Cristallo to victory and was second with Chivas Z in the $85,000 Talisman Energy Cup 1.50m, held during the Spruce Meadows Continental CSIO 5* Tournament in Calgary, Canada in mid-June. There were 55 entries in the competition, and they contested a course set by Anthony D'Ambrosio of the United States.

There were just five in the jump-off after a tough first round with a skinny vertical at the end of the ring that caught many horses and riders.

Red Bucket Equine Rescue proudly presents Delilah for adoption. Delilah is a beautiful 16hh approximately 11 year old Irish Thoroughbred mare. Delilah has been trained in English, Western, and some dressage. She is a forward mare with a beautiful stride and a wonderful work ethic.

August 23 is tune-in time for World Equestrian Games action from France.

Dressage, para-dressage and reining kick off the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, on Mon., Aug. 25, following opening ceremonies on Sat., Aug. 23. The quadrennial competition takes place in Normandy, France.
