2021 Fall Festival Welcomes Back Competitors

Year-end show provides an exciting conclusion to show calendar by combining serious competition with some sanctioned shenanigans.

After a disappointing 2020 season in which most horse shows were cancelled due to Covid 19 the IEHJA Board of Directors had one goal in mind: To pack the 2021 show calendar with a variety of venues holding monthly shows and conclude the year with the Fall Festival Year End Show. The Fall Festival is traditionally scheduled in early November and the Board selected the 12th-14th for its 2021 dates. This year’s show was again held at beautiful Galway Downs in Temecula.

A full schedule of hunter, jumper and equitation classes were held over this three-day period. The show premium included the IEHJA Medal Finals, a Hunter Derby, two Mini Prix with cash awards, The Showdown Perpetual Medal, a Green Rider Hunter Classic, and a Stirrup Rider Hunter Classic. The adrenaline flowed as riders and horses were tested by courses designed by Kelly James. The sanctioned shenanigans consisted of the Hygain Stick Horse Team Competition. Yes, stick horses and bouncy balls, a modified gymkhana course, some tricky tag teaming and screaming crowds were all included. The horses sat this class out!

IEHJA recognizes its great sponsors for their support of the Fall Festival. Both Financial and product support were provided allowing IEHJA to offer riders, family, and friends a Meet and Great Dinner, great awards and prizes including monogrammed coolers, grooming tote bags, quilted saddle pads and halters. A full array of horse care and grooming products, gift certificates, ribbons, medals, and sashes were also given to our division and class winners. A big thank you to the following sponsors:
