Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center – Celebrate Ability, Create Hope

provided by Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center

Located in Poway, Ride Above Disability Therapeutic Riding Center is always looking for new volunteers to join our team! Volunteers are the backbone of our program. We wouldn’t be able to provide lessons without the generous help of volunteers. To get started, all volunteers are required to go through a training orientation. The minimum age to volunteer is 14. No experience is necessary. We will train you! Volunteer duties include helping students in lessons leading and side walking, horse care and ranch chores. Here are some of the tasks volunteers can help with:

Barn Maintenance
• mucking out stalls
• cleaning water buckets
• raking aisles
• removing rocks from arenas
• sweeping sheds
• wiping high-touch surfaces
• cleaning/de-shedding/organizing equipment

Horse Care
• feeding supplements
• grooming/bathing horses
• hoof maintenance
• exercising horses

Lessons – age 16+
• grooming + tacking up the horse
• walking alongside students, providing support
• leading horses during the lesson

We look forward to seeing you at the ranch soon! Reach out to us at allie@radtrc.org or 858-209-5662. Visit us online at www.radtrc.org.
