San Diego’s Steffen Peters and native San Diegan Katie Duerrhammer join Ashley Holzer and Adrienne Lyle to compete Aug. 6-10 in Denmark at the 2022 Blue Hors FEI Dressage World Championship presented by Helgstrand.
Steffen has represented the US internationally many times and Katie Duerrhammer, daughter to San Diego dressage trainer Elizabeth Johnson, is representing the US internationally for her second time on Quartett, a 2008 Brandenburg gelding owned by Kylee Lourie. Steffen rides Suppenkasper, a 2008 KWPN gelding owned by Four Winds Farm and Akiko Yamazaki.
Steffen has ridden in five Olympic Games, four World Equestrian Games, five World Cups, and two Pan American Games.
Katie at age 33, is the youngest rider on the team and she won the North American Youth Championship team and individual gold as part of Region 7 in 2008 with Pam Brown-Schachter’s KWPN gelding, Millenium. Katie currently lives and trains in Colorado.
