When speaking to new owner Liz Jenkins about her incredible property PI Equestrian Center in Chino Hills I asked her, “Did you always dream of having your own place?” She quickly and assuredly said, “Yes, always!”
Liz had been a boarder at the barn for a few years and then the perfect opportunity to acquire the dressage facility presented itself, So she took a leap of faith and purchased the 5-acre property in the center of Chino Hills. The facility has beautiful stalls and a giant indoor grooming area with an indoor wash rack. It is perfect for tacking up all year round. It also has three turnouts, a large round pen, and a small jumping arena. However, the most incredible feature of the property is the covered dressage court. It has been updated and revamped since Liz took over and on the 100˚ day I visited, it was very shady and cool.

Liz’s resident dressage trainer at PI is Blair Niemcziek. Blair and Liz began training together in 2022 and the partnership has been extremely successful resulting in winning multiple championships over the past year. Blair started out with the previous owners as the head rider. Now as head trainer, her duties include training, sales, and marketing, and she’s really doing it all. Blair has very happily created her own business, BJN Dressage, and has made a name for herself as a top dressage trainer and competitor. Blair started her riding career in Washington State as a young rider then opened a small barn in Utah. She always knew though that she wanted to show horses at the highest level. She credits her success in part to Michele Vaughn in Sacramento. Blair had always wanted to come to California and Michelle gave this hardworking young trainer the needed show experience to get her where she is today. However, of course, Blair’s work ethic is what I admire most. When I visited I was lucky enough to watch her patiently train a wild young colt that definitely had a mind of its own. She was calm cool and collected and by the end of the ride the horse was calm and all business.

Both Liz and Blair pride themselves on the health and well-being of all of the horses on the property. They feed top-quality hay and use Formula 707 supplements to keep everyone in performance-quality shape. Their favorite product is Muscle Builder Plus. It’s their go-to nutritional supplement for their developing babies.
PI is a full care full-service facility, offering care, feeding, and maintenance seven days a week, with caretakers living on the property. They also offer boarding. Blair has training packages from full training to individual lessons. Customer care is their number one priority. When asked about future goals for PI, Liz and Blair plan to host clinics and symposiums striving to make it not only the top barn in Chino Hills but making it a premiere facility for all of California.
