Launching in February 2025! “The Classical Legacy: A Master Class For Instructors.” These new instructors symposiums are designed to educate instructors and upcoming young professionals on a host of subjects not commonly covered in most instructor seminars. An Education Faculty member for both USDF and USEF recently said, “There are folks with an excellent foundation in correct equitation, but who lack the necessary business skills, and vice versa, but nowhere today can a person learn both.” Now there is! Organized by USEF licensed judge and ARIA certified instructor Michelle Binder-Zolezzi with USDF Gold medalist Francis Carbonnel, the programs feature speakers and respected clinicians in several disciplines.
Dr Gerd Heuschmann, well known author, bereiter and activist for classical training has endorsed the program and will be a keynote speaker and clinician at the January Dressage event while Deb Moynihan, President of Centered Riding International, will be the keynote speaker and clinician at the multi-discipline event in February. Specialties in Western Dressage and Working Equitation will be offered in February and March. In addition, at all four events industry experts will present subjects that give instructors the critical knowledge they need to survive, thrive, and take their business forward into the next decades. We are excited that Brian Wee of “Next Level Horse Businesses” will be speaking and offering business coaching while Jen Johnson, CPA and equestrian tax expert will be demystifying taxes and accounting specific to equine business professionals. Morning interactive classroom sessions and daily afternoon riding/teaching sessions promise to give attendees both a pathway to improve business skills and the valuable tools they need to become the quality instructors and trainers the industry needs moving into the future.
