17th Annual Fiesta of the Spanish Horse Cancer Benefit Kicks Off May 6th at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center with Scores of Magnificent Horses and Seldom Seen Equine Activities


USC's Traveler® and UCLA's Joe Bruin Will Suspend Their Rivalry for a Day and Join Together in Support of Cancer Research.


WHO: Hundreds of Iberian horses along with talented equestrians and local celebrities will be in Burbank for the 17th Annual Fiesta of the Spanish Horse, a 5-day horse show and Saturday charity benefit. This year’s beneficiaries are Kure It Cancer Research, Project Hollywood Cares, and the Wounded Warrior Project.

WHAT: In addition to week-long equine show activities, interested media will have an opportunity Saturday afternoon, May 9, to interview USC's famous equine mascot, Traveler®,  and UCLA's mascot, Joe Bruin, as they suspend their rivalry for the day in the interest of supporting cancer research. Saturday evening will feature an exciting show of seldom-seen equestrian exhibitions, ranging from thrilling trick riding to elegant dressage and everything in between.

WHERE: Los Angeles Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Drive, Burbank, California

WHEN: Horse show runs from Wednesday, May 6 through Sunday, May 10, 2015. The Fiesta Charity Spectacular is Saturday, May 9. This paid event begins at 3:00 pm with music, dancing, shopping, and the horse show barn areas open for visitors. The evening exhibitions begin at 5:30 pm.
