Sometimes What Happens in Vegas -- Does Not Stay in Vegas!

A custom Dale Chavez saddle, large cash prizes, raffle horses and lots of show awards to go home with winners.

Entries close September 1 for the country's premier Iberian horse show, and the 2015 Andalusian World Cup officially kicks off September 24 at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center in Las Vegas.

Last year's Andalusian World Cup (AWC) was the largest gathering of Iberian-bred horses outside of Spain and Portugal, and this year's numbers already indicate attendance will significantly exceed 2014.  The AWC's ground-breaking format combines a variety of equestrian disciplines at one venue, including both English and Western disciplines, traditional Spanish and Portuguese classes, Dressage, Working Equitation and much more.  Top riders will go home with all kinds of prizes and large cash awards; and one champion will take home a beautiful custom-made Dale Chavez saddle.

Saturday evening will feature a charity banquet sponsored by the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse, with proceeds benefiting the Foundation's equine rescue program. "The charity banquet will be an entertaining evening of great food and fun prizes, all to help an important cause and assist horses in need," says Barbara Clark, Executive Director of the Foundation for the Pure Spanish Horse. "We also will be live auctioning two spectacular yearlings that anyone would be proud to own."  To add to the fun, AWC will host a special event in conjunction with the banquet: The first annual Haute Iberian Hat Contest. Attendees are encouraged to turn out in their finest millinerywear -- spectacular, elegant, amusing -- and give the judges something to talk about!

The Andalusian World Cup is open to all horses with papers from any recognized Iberian Horse registry. P.R.E horses registered with ANCCE also can enter ANCCE-sanctioned competitions. The WEIAUSA Working Equitation competition is open to any breed of horse.
