The Humane Society of Ventura County is one of many organizations to open its doors wide to dogs, cats, horses and other domesticated animals in need of sanctuary from November’s wildfires.

The HSVC is a private nonprofit founded in 1932. It is not affiliated with the Humane Society of the United States or any national animal welfare organizations, nor does it receive any funding from the city, county or state.
