After a long history based at Albert Court in Rancho Santa Fe, Christine Traurig relocates to Caballos Del Mar in Encinitas. The training facility is owned by Julie Burtech, a longtime student of Christine’s. The German-born 2000 US Olympian is moving into a newly built barn on the property, which is also home to dressage trainer Birthe Laufer.

The 11-acre property has many grass and sand paddocks, a Eurocisor, Vitafloor and access to miles of trails.

Christine’s 2000 Olympic bronze teammate and close friend Guenter Seidel also moved from Albert Court, to Wildflower Farm (see story, page 14). “It’s definitely leaving with some emotions,” Christine acknowledges, but she is excited about the move and looks forward to continued work developing young horses and show oriented riders and maintaining a busy schedule as USEF National Young Horse coach and a popular clinician.
