Happy New Year! El Niño is bringing much needed rain to our state. Hopefully everyone is ready for the rain and finding fun ways to keep your horses moving and learning to like puddles.

’Tis the season for award ceremonies and this issue features many winners. We’re proud of our second year of peer tributes to CPHA special award recipients who will be honored at the Jan. 8 ceremony in Las Vegas. Our Parade of Champions spotlights more amateur & junior winners and we have local highlights from the eventing and hunter/jumper year-end presentations. We enjoyed letting breeders brag on their beautiful babies in our Breeders Baby Pix feature, while George Morris and the Marlowe girls, Emma and Gracie, are just a few of those singled out for special attention in this issue.

We will be at HITS Thermal evey week passing out magazines and watching top horses and riders compete. We are also booking the last few ads and listings for the annual California Horseman’s Directory, in print and online. Be sure to like us on Facebook and check our website for breaking news.

Give us call or email if you have a story idea or want to get in our next issues.

Happy Riding!
