Santa Fe Hunt Opening Hunt
Nov. 10 in Garner Valley

The Santa Fe Hunt holds its Opening Hunt located at Garner Ranch in Southern California’s Garner Valley, near the San Jacinto Mountains. This is a special day of hunting steeped in tradition, beginning with the customary Stirrup Cup at 9:30 am where riders enjoy a “parting cup” before the hunt begins. The morning proceeds with the Blessing of the Hounds prior to the hunt, which will move off at 10 am. Join us as we ride through beautiful terrain and watch the hounds at work, identifying scent trails. Riders can join one of three fields. In First Field, riders gallop and jump natural obstacles, following the Huntsman and Hunt Master. In Second Field, you can achieve all the speed, but with optional fences. In Third Field, you can enjoy a slower pace while still viewing stunning countryside in the presence of great company. Following the hunt, join us for our Punch Bowl with great food, refreshments, and camaraderie.
